David Bowie (1967)David BowieRock I heard a lot of enthusiastic words about David Bowie and his music. I heard a couple of Bowie's songs before and I was going to know his works closer. I've chosen his debut album, which was recorded in 1967. At that time a lot of musicians and bands make their experiments and create great masterpieces (The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and others). On this record Bowie opted for folksy-pop sound. All the song appeared here are, for the most part, pretty happy. It is amazing that the man who made these songs would become a glam rock legend. This album has made a pleasant impression on me, it sounds very easy, melodious and sometimes quite comical. My favorite tracks are "Uncle Arthur", "Rubber Band", "There Is a Happy Land" and "Little Bombardier". |
