RSS News Channels

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication". It's a format for distributing and gathering content from sources across the Web, including newspapers, magazines, and blogs. Web publishers use RSS to easily create and distribute news feeds that include links, headlines, and summaries. This page provides you with our RSS feed containing the latest news concerning our software and website.

How do I start using the RSS feed?

The first thing you need is something called a news reader. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications. All allow you to display and subscribe to the RSS feeds you want.

You can subscribe to the feed in various ways, including:

  • Dragging the URL of the RSS feed into your news reader
  • Cutting and pasting the same URL into a new feed in your news reader

How do I get the RSS News Reader?

There is a number of different news readers available and new versions are appearing all the time. You can find some of them in the RSS News Readers category of the Google Directory.

Different news readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to take this into account when you make your choice.
