The Animatrix Album (2003)Various ArtistsSoundtrack As in case of The Matrix movie and all its sequels, Animatrix soundtrack has been released on a separate CD named "The Animatrix Album". All music on this album, except of the last two bonus tracks, appears in some scenes of the movie. This is absolutely fascinating, energetic album with varied music of different styles: from mysterious first track "Who Am I" (just cool!) to pseudo-electro-jazzy "Blind Tiger" and pretty hard "Hands Around My Throat". "Conga Fury" reminds me a bit of "Burly Brawl" from "The Matrix Reloaded". It's also worth to mension a track "Supermoves", which corresponds to the action of Animatrix very well. The movie and its soundtrack complete each other with amazing harmony. "The Animatrix Album" is a mysterious album full of inexplicable secrets, which immerses you into the deep of emotions and impressions. This is a perfect thing, or maybe it's just from another time. My choice of the week unambiguously! |
