The Least We Can Do Is Wave to Each Other (1969)Van Der Graaf GeneratorRock If you like art rock, you should listen to this album, which could be recommended to everyone as an introduction in this genre. This album is a combination of lush, melancholic ballads like "Refugees" and "Out of My Book", and ominous, historically-referenced epics like "White Hammer" and "After the Flood". All tracks of this album are great, but my personal favorite is "Whatever Robert Have Said". Fantastic arrangements and Peter Hammill's vocal, which alternates between searing and plaintive, make this album really great. |
