Hooray for Boobies (2000)Bloodhound GangRock This is the most multifarious, in style meaning, album of Bloodhound Gang. It seems that guys decided to experiment, and this experiment is ended up with absolute success. The album is jolly, insane, and saucily humorous. In my opinion, this is the best album of Bloodhound Gang. | |
Playing the Angel (2005)Depeche ModeRock This is new long-awaited album from Depeche Mode, first since 2001. I think DM is great techno band and last their work confirmed this fact. Unfortunately, this album is not impressed me as well as Violator (1990). Really, in comparison with previous lacking Exciter (2001) new album sounds nice. "A Pain That I'm Used To", "The Sinner In Me" and "Lillian" are better tracks from this album in my opinion. | |
Genius Loves Company (2004)Ray CharlesR&B This is the last Ray Charles' studio album completed before his death in June 2004. It is a collection of duets where Ray Charles sings with Willie Nelson, Elton John, B.B. King, Van Morrison, and others. Retro sound of this album gives me a pleasure during this week. Better tracks in my opinion are "Sorry Seems to Be Hardest" and "It Was a Very Good Year". Excellent work. Bravo, Maestro.

Ink Compatible (2004)Spastic InkProgressive Metal A kind of technique oriented prog metal band led by highly skilled guitarist Ron Jarzombek. This album was recorded in collaboration with bassist Sean Malone of Gordian Knot, vocalist Daniel Gildenlow of Pain of Salvation, and other prog metal stars. Sometimes it's hard to catch a definite melody in music of Spastic Ink, but performance technique of these musicians is really stunning. | |
Origin of Symmetry (2001)MuseBritPop People often compare Muse to Radiohead of its "OK Computer" period, sometimes with positive reviews, but more frequently with "Bellamy is NOT new Yorke"-like opinions. Bellamy is definitely not Yorke, his performance manner is too high-flown and theatrical to be compared with Radiohead leader's one. But if you won't touch Radiohead, this album may be worth enough to listen to. | |
The Fool Circle (1981)NazarethRock This is one of Nazareth's not-hard-rock album and critics do not estimate this work at one's true worth. However, songs made this album great and I really like it. Live versions of "Cocain" and "Victoria" are a good work of Naz in my opinion. Especialy "Cocain", my highest grade. A melody of "Let Me Be Your Leader" and Dan Mccaferty's vocal have conquered me from the first time. Check it out. | |
