We are glad to announce the release of the next version of our music organizing software - Melomania 1.57. You can download this version, as usual, from Melomania download page.

Recently we have uploaded our music organizing software to Download.com, the world's largest software resource on the Net. We've made this step forward because of two reasons. First, the Melomania profile now can be used as a mirror page to download the latest version of our music organizer. Second, from today any Melomania user can submit an opinion about the program. Well, now let's view the changes made in this version of Melomania.

What's new in Melomania 1.57?

A possibility to group albums by medium is added to the object tree. Such a grouping will be appreciated by anyone who has a large collection of MP3 files scattered over plenty of CDs or DVDs.
New edit functions are added to the context menu of Navigator: functions for character case changing of item names (upper case, lower case, and capitalize) and a function for tracks renumbering.
A possibility to choose Amazon regional site for cover downloading is added. We have added the Advanced... button to the Amazon Covers window to switch between Amazon regions.
Navigator: the Locate in Explorer item is added to the track context menu. This menu item allows you to open the folder containing a file associated with the selected track in Windows Explorer.
The Restore Defaults button doesn't reset the program options immediately any more. Instead, the default options are actually applied to the program only after subsequent clicking OK or Apply, and subsequent clicking Cancel discards the restoration and leaves the previous options as they are.
Program options are fixed up for correct reading tags from WavPack and Monkey's Audio.
Media Scanner: fixed bug concerning the impossibility to scan tracks currently played in Winamp.
Media Scanner: fixed bug concerning reading ID3 tags of version 2.4 encoded with UTF-8.
Media Scanner: fixed bug concerning reading national characters from ID3 tags of version 1.x. This bug appeared only when Regional and Language Settings in Control Panel were not set properly.
Fixed bug concerning the rare hang-up during the cover download process.
Artist name didn't appear in the window of cover download process in some cases. Now it is fixed.
Sometimes the switching from Internet Finder to Navigator and then back to Internet Finder caused the appearance of needless scroll bars. It is fixed now.
File Properties: file icon didn't appear properly when Windows XP theme was disabled. We've fixed it.
Several small improvements have been made and minor bugs have been fixed.
