Hotel (2005)

Moby

Electronica

"Leave your problems behind and come in" - that's what this "Hotel" says to visitors. "Hotel" is a musical tranquilizer, stylish and effective. A warm, human, even home atmosphere without any emotional excess plevails in this "Hotel". You may relax and get pleasure.

Pearl (1970)

Janis Joplin

Rock

This is unfinished work of the psychedelic rock queen also known as Janis Joplin. "Pearl" sounds lightly and emotionally, especially such songs as "Cry Baby", "Mercedes Benz" (which was recorded in one take), and "Me and Bobby McGee", a song by Kris Kristofferson that became Joplin's first number-one single in pop charts. Janis died before this album release, in October 1970, but her soul still lives in the songs of this album.

Je te di vous (1994)

Patricia Kaas

Vocal

A music of Patricia Kaas is a combination of French chanson tradition with elements of pop, blues, and jazz. I think I know the word that describes her magic music. This word is "charm". Most songs from this album are sincere lyrical ballads: "Hotel Normandy", "Ceux qui n'ont rien", "Je te dis vous", but it also contains fiery dance "Jojo". In a word, it is a good album, I'm pleased.

Stupid Dream (1999)

Porcupine Tree

Progressive Rock

Porcupine Tree is really astonishing British prog rock band, and this album got into my all-time favorites with my first listening to it. This is incredibly harmonious, solid album created by talented musicians on the peak of their potential. Must-have for every fan of modern progressive rock.

How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb (2004)

U2

Rock

The latest album by U2 is good enough to be recommended for listening, but I wouldn't say it's something special. I suppose the best albums by this great Irish band are left far behind in time, somewhere in 80-90's, and they'll never release something like "Achtung Baby" again.

Robbie Williams

Rock

Every time Robbie releases his new album, it's a reason to exclaim: "It's new Robbie!". Each his album sounds newly, freshly. This time it sounds like gangster mini-opera. A good, solid album. "Tripping" is my favorite song.
